Energy Efficiency Pilot Program- Home Energy Audit Kit

Switch Your Thinking have recently launched an Energy Efficiency Pilot Program which will run throughout 2025. Energy audit kits are being made available for loan from more than 100 libraries and Community Resource Centres across Western Australia.

The Victoria Park Library has one kit available for loan from 24 March.

The Energy Audit Kit can be borrowed by Victoria Park Library members on the following conditions:

  • The kit is to be borrowed by and returned directly to staff at the Help Desk.
  • The kit can be borrowed for a maximum 2 week period and cannot be renewed.
  • Anyone who borrows the kit must read and agree to the Conditions of use declaration.
  • The kit can also be reserved via the catalogue. Click here to reserve.

The kit includes:

  • A thermal imaging camera to help you locate draughts around your home and gaps in insulation, for checking fridge seals, and measuring hot water temperature.
  • A plug-in energy monitor for measuring energy consumption and the running costs of appliances.
  • A basin flow measuring cup to determine the water flow rate of your taps.
  • A thermometer for measuring the temperature of rooms, fridges and freezers.
  • A document case containing an energy audit kit instruction manual and other useful resources
