Public access computers conditions of use
Access
Supervision of a child’s (patrons under 18 years old) use of the public access computers is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian.
Session time limits apply for all computer use.
Public access computers automatically turn off five minutes prior to the Library closing.
Assistance
Library staff will only provide limited assistance while using the public PCs.
Your use of the service
Public access computers are located in public areas shared by Library patrons of all ages, backgrounds and sensibilities.
Individuals are asked to consider other Library patrons when accessing the Internet:
- The Library does not utilise filtering software.
- Computers must not be used for any activities of an illegal or fraudulent nature.
- The Library has no control over the content of material available via the internet and accepts no responsibility for any damages, direct or indirect, arising from use of its Internet access.
- The Library is not responsible for any fees incurred by use of the Internet.
- Copyright laws and licensing agreements must be observed.
- The Library is not responsible for technical problems experienced by websites.
- The Library cannot guarantee security and confidentiality of any transaction.
- Printing is charged for in accordance with the Town of Victoria Park’s Schedule of Fees and Charges.
