This week’s #TimeWarpTuesday post we are seeking help from past and present residents of the area. And it doesn’t matter how long ago it was that you lived in the Town you still may be able to help.
We have received a request for help identifying this building. The photo is of a structure that could have been a hall or similar structure. It is a building under construction and let’s not think about the occupational health and safety implications of the guys on the roof!
All jokes aside, we could really use your help.
Unknown building under construction, circa 1920s. Possibly was located on Albany Road (now Highway), Victoria Park

The photo was in a collection of images belonging to a man named Abraham James, who was a well-known builder back in the first half of the 20th Century. We believe this photo to be dated circa 1920s but don’t know a lot more. Could it have been a well-known place down Albany Highway, then known as Albany Road??
